Already offered 10,000 euros for ‘Ukraine dress’ Addy van den Krommenacker

A spontaneous action by fashion designer Addy van den Krommenacker already yields a bid of 10,000 euros for Ukraine. Saturday morning he posted a video on social media in which he shows a dress in a blue-yellow fabric. People can bid via email, the proceeds go to Giro 555.

The fabric inspired Addy to create. “I saw the fabric and I thought: this is beautiful! Then I started molding on the doll.” Without a pattern, he made the dress that is now so sought after. The dress does not only show the colors of the Ukrainian flag. The country’s national symbol, the sunflower, also plays a prominent role.
