Annemarie Mols from Rijen
Annemarie is the driving force behind the Weggevenhoek Gilze en Rijen. Here people who have little money can come and get free stuff. From clothing to cutlery and from furniture to towels. She helps more than 300 families.
Ruben Lindenhovius from Eindhoven and Sterre van den Boogaard from Mierlo-Hout
Ruben and Sterre organized and ran Boots on the Ground. This is a grueling walk of no less than 200 kilometers to draw attention and raise money for former soldiers with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They walked with a group of students for four days through wind and weather.
Jan Minkels from Den Dungen
No one should feel lonely. That is why Jan regularly invites people who are alone to his own home and cooks a three-course dinner for them for free. And he gives away what is left to people who don’t have much to spend.
Frans Monsieurs and Thijs van Miert from Tilburg
Frans and Thijs are heroes. They didn’t hesitate for a moment when their friend Theo drove his mobility scooter into the water. The mobility scooter sank. But because the men took action quickly, they managed to get their friend safely to dry land.
Leny van Zundert from Etten-Leur
Leny organizes Nu Jij! with her Foundation. pampering days for people with cancer for more than ten years. She hopes that they will forget their worries for a moment. Leny herself has had breast cancer. After her recovery, she was so happy with the new chance she got that she decided to do something for fellow sufferers.
