In the first eight months of this year, the government has already collected almost 28 million euros in unpaid traffic fines through wage garnishment or the tax letter. That is twice as much as in the whole of 2022, writes Het Nieuwsblad. If the trend continues, revenues for traffic fines via that route will triple in one year.
