When the couple went out for dinner one evening, Chantal suddenly had a life question for her friend. “What is your biggest dream?” she wanted to know. Arnout knew what that was, but was unsure whether he should say it, because he didn’t know how she would react. “When I got my driver’s license years ago, my brother gave me a book by Paul van Hooff, Man in the saddle it was called. It’s about a journalist who rode a motorcycle, got done with the grind and decided to go to Alaska on an old motorcycle,” he remembers.
