Kira Weidle is one of the big German stars in alpine skiing. The last tour of the winter ended with the probably nicest surprise for the German world-class athlete.

After a long season, Kira Weidle went where she prefers to be: on the slopes. To be more precise, in the Tyrolean mountains. In the midst of the beautiful mountain panorama, her boyfriend asked for the hand of the 2021 downhill vice world champion. And the 27-year-old said yes!
“A little plot twist up on the mountain,” Weidle writes about a photo on Instagram showing her engagement ring. With the hashtag #YES, she underlines that she answered yes to the question of all questions. Apparently she can’t believe her luck. While her partner smiles widely, she only looks at the camera with one eye through her fingers.
Weidle and her partner, whom she has kept out of the public eye so far, celebrate the engagement with a fine glass. There is champagne, as another photo shows.
