The ÖSV athletes
The Austrians again have a broad team at the start. Katharina Liensberger, Katharina Truppe, Franziska Gritsch and Chiara Mair are always capable of good results. Katharina Huber, Marie Therese Sporer and Nina Astner will complete the seven-strong squad.

What can drought tear?
The German team also has a strong athlete in their ranks in Lena Dürr. Dürr only missed out on the podium twice in Levi before she made a big mistake in the final in Killington and was unable to take advantage of her good starting position. It should be correspondingly hot to finally drive up to the podium. Dürr starts the first round today with start number 1. For Andrea Filser and Marlene Schmotz it’s about taking as many points as possible.

Holdener hungry for more
Wendy Holdener sticks to the stamp of the eternal second, a curse that she was able to break in the slalom in the USA. Now it will be interesting to see whether the Swiss can follow up after her first slalom success in the World Cup. All-rounder Michelle Gisin will be squinting at the top ten she has missed in the technical disciplines so far this season. Camille Rast wasn’t able to reach her maximum this winter either. Aline Danioth, Melanie Meillard, Nicole Good, Elena Stoffel, Aline Höpli and Lorina Zelger complete the Swiss squad.

Who secures the victory?
Three slalom world cups have already been held this winter, and the American Mikaela Shiffrin was able to take first place twice. Shiffrin is leading the slalom world cup and can still be found among the top favorites today. Slovakia’s Petra Vlhová, on the other hand, is still waiting for her first win this winter and would certainly like to attack. The Swedes Anna Swenn Larsson and Sara Hector should also be kept in mind.
