Alpine skiing: Emma Aicher and Linus Witte get Junior World Cup medals – alpine skiing – winter sports

Emma Aicher and Linus Witte gave the German Ski Association (DSV) two more medals at the end of the Alpine Junior World Championships in Panorama/Canada. 18-year-old Aicher (SC Mahlstetten) won her third world championship silver in the giant slalom on Wednesday, only Magdalena Egger from Austria was faster (0.22 seconds).

Aicher has already won Olympic silver, Witte causes a surprise

Aicher had previously finished second in the downhill and slalom, and in the Super-G she finished fourth. She is considered the greatest talent in the DSV, and Aicher has already achieved remarkable things in the team on the big stages: she was last part of the German silver team at the Winter Games in Beijing, and she also drove with the team to bronze at the 2021 World Cup.

Witte (SC Bad Aibling) surprisingly won bronze in the slalom on Wednesday. The 20-year-old was 1.14 seconds behind winner Alexander Steen Olsen from Norway. Last Friday, Luis Vogt (20/SC Garmisch) had already won World Cup bronze in the downhill.
