Italian ski racer Federica Brignone won the first of two giant slaloms in Tremblant, Canada, on Saturday evening (12/2/23).
The Beijing Olympic silver medalist won an exciting race with a lead of 0.21 seconds over Slovakian Petra Vlhova. US superstar Mikaela Shiffrin (+0.29) took third place.
Aicher out in the first round
The Swiss Lara Gut-Behrami (+0.59), who won the first two giant slaloms of the winter, came fifth this time behind the Swede Sara Hector (0.56).
The second round took place without German participation. Emma Aicher, who was the only DSV driver at the start, started promisingly with the late start number 51, but missed a goal in the last third of the route and was eliminated.
