10 ortt. (askanews) – Palazzo Bonaparte is transformed into the temple of Art Nouveau with the exhibition Alphonse Mucha. A triumph of beauty and seductionin Rome until March 8th. The exhibition brings together 150 masterpieces and is the largest and most complete ever held on Mucha: a tribute to feminine charm and the wonder of images, capable of transcending eras and borders and creating universal bridges of dialogue.
The Czech artist has in fact been able to reinvent the female image in art, transforming it into an icon of grace and strength. Mucha was also an innovator, a visual communicator capable of giving a seductive and recognizable shape to the imagery of the Belle Époque. His famous advertising posters, such as those dedicated to Sarah Bernhardt or Parisian perfumes and liqueurs, not only popularized graphic art, but transformed the visual language of his time, anticipating the principles of modern design.
The exhibition is produced and organized by Arthemisia; main partner is the Terzo Pilastro – Internazionale Foundation, whose President, Professor Alessandra Taccone, said: «Great credit to Arthemisia, to its President, to its wonderful team, to my wonderful team. Special thanks go to the person thanks to whom this relationship was born, this partnership between Arthemisia and the Terzo Pilastro Internazionale Foundation, Professor Emanuele, the Presidentissimo Emanuele. He had this intuition many years ago, we’re talking about 20 years ago. The Terzo Pilastro Internazionale Foundation is a reality that has established itself above all in the Mediterranean, in the art and culture sector.”
Guest of honor of this exhibition at Palazzo Bonaparte is the Venus by Botticelli, loaned by the Royal Museums – Galleria Sabauda of Turin, perfect synthesis of the concept of beauty and seduction, an ideal bridge between Renaissance art and Art Nouveau.
The President of Arthemisia, Iole Siena, underlined: «I believe that in even the darkest moments of history, in moments in which we continually feel like we are talking about painful and ugly things, art, beauty are always the right answer». Professor Taccone recalled: «He wrote that the particular objective of my work is to build, to unite. I therefore refer to what the president said earlier: in such a dark, delicate moment, it is certainly a noble aim. A purpose that has certainly been the inspiring principle of the Terzo Pilastro Internazionale Foundation since its birth. A purpose that will never cease, as it was then, today and in the future, to guide our work.”
