AlphaTauri, Red Bull’s sister team, had a disappointing 2022, finishing penultimate in the Constructors’ Championship. Only Williams fared worse. While Pierre Gasly caused a resounding surprise in 2020 by winning his first grand prix in Italy, the great successes in the last two years failed to materialize. Tsunoda couldn’t break any pots either.
With the arrival of De Vries, AlphaTauri hopes to take another step in the right direction and return to the middle bracket. That should happen with the AT04, which was presented during New York Fashion Week. Where Red Bull launched the new car to announce a collaboration with Ford, AlphaTauri chose New York to launch a new clothing collection. In many ways the AT04 resembles last year’s car, although the color red has now been added by new sponsor Orlen.
