The Austrian clothing retailer AlphaTauri and its previous creative director Mi-Kyong Yeom are going their separate ways. On Wednesday, the fashion label of the Red Bull beverage company announced the departure of the 51-year-old South Korean. Mi-Kyong Yeom has held a senior role in the brand’s design team since 2020, most recently as creative director. Before joining AlphaTauri, she held senior positions in the design departments of fashion houses Hugo Boss and Akris.
In a statement, the company thanked the outgoing creative director “for her great commitment as part of the design team over the past few years”. With her strengths, Mi-Kyong Yeom “made a valuable contribution to the further international development of the brand” and “brought her entire expertise to the creative orientation of the collections”. The label announced that it now wants to “reorganize” its design team.
