Alpaca named Grisha swept in the Moscow metro

Thousands of years ago, they were already walking with the Peruvian Indians in the highlands, but the day before they unexpectedly swept in the Moscow metro. Soft fleece and almost “glossy” appearance clouded the vigilance of the subway staff. The alpaca and its owner got likes on social networks, but worried the metropolitan Deptrans: a shy animal could get hurt or harm passengers.

This must be a dream, the dozed-off subway passengers decided when alpaca entered the car.

“I open my eyes, and I just see a llama right in front of me,” a young metro passenger shared her delight on social networks.

The friendly animal charmed even the strict subway employees. They wanted to take a picture with him.

That very unusual passenger of the Moscow metro is an alpaca named Grisha. And he lives in the suburbs.

The owner of the menagerie, where, in addition to Grisha, there are more than a hundred animals, is the trainer Anna Kranz. He says that he had to go underground because of a car breakdown.

“We can’t say: “Hello, Yandex taxi, we need to transport the alpaca.” Nobody will take us,” explains Anna Kranz.

The passengers joked: since Grisha got off at Krasnopresnenskaya, it means he was going to work – to the zoo. And they weren’t wrong.

“We participate in many filming of films, TV shows, shows. As a rule, we have four or five trips a week,” says the trainer.

During the trip, the alpaca almost got injured when the escalator stopped abruptly.

“Everyone got hit, with us and with the alpaca,” says Anna Krantz.

The owner had to worry too.

“New cars, I haven’t been in the subway for a long time. It’s a non-sectional one. He ran to the end, and everything was already stopping. Then I was afraid that he might get out without me,” the owner of the animal shares her feelings.

Colleagues in the workshop call the behavior of the trainer at least irresponsible.

“This is a violation of the rules for visiting both the metro itself and the transportation of the animal itself. Such an animal should be transported only in a specially equipped vehicle,” said trainer, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Edgard Zapashny.

“This woman has nothing to do with training and the circus. I have known her for ten years. She was an animator and singer from the city of Kaliningrad,” says trainer Iolanta Mask.

During the trip, both the animal itself and passengers could suffer.

The Metropolitan Deptrans justifies itself: the employee could not resist the charm of Grisha.

“The security officer took pity on the animal and let it through, although this is prohibited. Transportation rules determine that the animal must be in a carrier or in a cage,” the agency said in a comment.

However, even from carrying pets are often released. Raccoons perform handrail tricks, crows, iguanas and even snakes travel on their knees, foxes on their master’s shoulders.

“Interestingly, Kuzya, would you fit in the subway? How do you like this idea: ride in the subway?” – offers the owner to his lama.

Now, obviously, no one will let the llama through the subway.
