Along my father’s garden path: where do you come from and who do you belong to?

Anna Abdulova is a programmer at Podium Zuidhaege in Assen, the place where it all started for her. “The talent to inspire others is my wealth,” says Anna, who herself once came to the Netherlands as a refugee: “I am one postcard from the future; a card from the future. I was once an asylum seeker too, and look where I am now!”

Anna takes us to a colorful world, full of family wisdoms that used to be shared during cooking, in Armenia, the country where Anna was born. “My grandmother always said, watch out, a man who eats poorly cannot be trusted. Children are raised while eating.”
