It has been almost two years since Elke and Regi put an end to their relationship. In January 2021, Elke and Regi announced that they had decided to split up after nine years of marriage. “Twenty-one years ago, our eyes met for the first time,” it sounded on Regi’s Instagram account at the time. “Now, after nine years of marriage, Elke and I have decided to go our separate ways. We look back fondly on our years together. There is no regret, there is no envy. We are and will remain friends. We continue to fulfill the most important role in our lives together: mom and dad belong to our two beautiful daughters. You will therefore still see us together at a restaurant or in an amusement park in the future.”

In September last year, Regi showed his heart for the first time since his divorce from Elke in an interview with ‘Bye All’. The music producer admitted at the time that his busy work schedule was partly responsible for their breakup. “Every secretly hoped: ‘There are fewer gigs, he’ll be home more often now.’ But what am I going to do? Work even harder,” he said. However, there were other factors at play as well. “That I couldn’t or didn’t want to slow down is one of the reasons. But it’s more complex than that.”

The relationship between Elke and Regi, who have two daughters together, has always remained good. Even after the news of their breakup became known, the two lived together for a long time. “Today we all live under the same roof, but one day we will of course really have to split up”, it sounded about nine months after the break in ‘All Day’. But even now Regi and Elke still get along well. “The relationship with Elke is still great – she has been a great support to me this busy summer.”

Because of his busy schedule, those days sometimes dare to shift, “but Elke is extremely flexible in that,” says the DJ. “I’m really happy that Elke and I still get along so well.”

At the end of August, Regi also indicated that he would not have a hard time if Elke ever had a new relationship. “No, I could handle that in a mature way. Our chapter as a couple has come to an end,” said the DJ in ‘All Day’. Regi herself is still single for the time being. “I want to date, but I don’t have the time. That just doesn’t work,” he said in the same interview. And even now Regi is still too busy. “I’m going to postpone it a bit,” said Regi in ‘Dag Alles’. It’s too busy: promo for the single, there will be a TV special of the ‘Gravity’ concert that I have to mix myself. And after the holidays I have to write songs for the coming year. But those are all fun things. I’m not going to sit here and act pathetic don’t worry about me.”
