Hynynen shows two different ways, both of which can take years off your face.
Round face: emphasize the bones:
If you have a round face, highlighting the bones with blush is the best choice.
1. Start applying the blush from the outer corner of the face. The blush is applied in circular motions to the bone area.
When blush is used to emphasize the bones, it can be used to lift the features of the face upwards. Blush can therefore be used to quickly create an elevated look.
2. Continue applying the blush up the temple.
This way the blush melts more into the skin and looks more natural than if the blush were clearly only in one part of the face.
3. Apply the blush most at the very beginning of the bone, that way the bone will be highlighted.

Flat cheeks: highlight the cheekbones
When you emphasize the cheekbones, or “bulky cheek”, as the make-up artist calls it, the look becomes more youthful.
1. Continue applying the blush from the temple and outer corner towards the cheek.
Apply blush on the actual cheek. Pay particular attention to the points that rise the most when you smile. This method is especially good if you have flat cheeks.
The blush can be layered until the desired strength is reached.
2. Apply blush high up.
Many people apply blush too far down the face. In this case, the blush is applied right on the cheek. However, this method makes the face droop down and does not look youthful.
3. Apply blush above the eyebrows as well.
When we use make-up, the natural color often disappears from the face. That’s why blush is important.
The makeup artist recommends applying blush above the eyebrow as well. Thanks to this, the face looks more natural, because the make-up melts better on the face, and the eye does not focus on just one spot.
