Two bike accidents happened almost simultaneously on the night of Good Friday near the Oberbaum Bridge (Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg).
At around 1.30 a.m., the driver of a Suzuki Boulevard M109R weighing almost 340 kilos crashed into a taxi at the Stralauer Allee/Mühlenstraße/Am Oberbaum/Warschauer Straße intersection and fell. However, the motorcyclist was able to right the heavy machine and park it on the sidewalk of the Oberbaum Bridge.
The taxi and the Suzuki were damaged. An ambulance was not used – apparently the accident went off lightly.
Rental scooter crashes into BVG bus
Just a few minutes after the motorcycle accident, a rental scooter crashed into a BVG bus 400 meters away! The driver is said to have lost control at the Schlesisches Tor/Oberbaumstraße intersection. There was a collision with the N60 bus.
One person was apparently thrown from the E-Schwalbe and remained lying next to the bus with serious injuries.
The exact course of the accident is being determined by emergency services from Directorate 5 Section 53.
