Six cars collided on the A28 from Groningen to Amersfoort this morning. This caused a large traffic jam between the Wijk and the Nieuwleusen exit. The delay increased to 75 minutes.
Two exits were closed due to recovery work. Traffic towards Zwolle was diverted. The road is now open again and the traffic jam is decreasing.
There was also a traffic jam at Ommen because cars collided. The roads were also busy in other places in the Netherlands this morning, partly due to rain showers. At its peak, according to the ANWB, there was a traffic jam of more than 900 kilometers.
