Almost 3,000 Ukrainian refugees registered with Drenthe municipalities

A total of 2,985 refugees from Ukraine are registered in the Drenthe municipalities. This is evident from figures from the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS).

Throughout the Netherlands, there are more than 95,000 refugees from that country.

Since the outbreak of the war last February, the most Ukrainians have registered in the municipality of Assen (541). Emmen follows with 402 and Hoogeveen with 384. De Wolden has the least number of people from Ukraine with 74 registered.

Relatively speaking, the municipality of Meppel has the most Ukrainians with 10.93 per thousand inhabitants, followed by Aa and Hunze (8.01) and Assen (7.54).
