Almere City wants to continue longer with goalkeeper Nordin Bakker and light option in contract

Almere City FC has lifted the option in the contract of keeper Nordin Bakker. The 24-year-old goalkeeper from Oostknollendam will therefore also be active at the club from Flevoland next season and is now committed until the summer of 2023.

Bakker joined Almere City at the end of January, which took over the goalkeeper from PFC Beroe. The Bulgarian club had to let Bakker go due to financial problems. At Almere City, the current number eighteen of the first division, Bakker quickly conquered a base place

a lot of confidence

The North Hollander kept the zero in six matches for his new club. Bakker is happy with the club’s quick decision, he says on the club website: “I am very happy with it. It gives a lot of confidence from the club. I like the club very much so far and this leaves me wanting more.”

Bakker played three seasons for FC Volendam in the past. The goalkeeper enjoyed his youth training at Fortuna Wormerveer.
