Alligatoah has released teasers for new songs. There was not only a preview of another track from the new album OFF, but the musician also shared three snippets.
Fans have an influence on single release
Fans now have the opportunity to have a say in which of the three songs will be released in full length. The decisive factor is the use of the sound snippets Tiktok be. Alligatoah wants to release the song that appears most often in short videos as the second single for his seventh album. “I’m retired – of course I let my fans do the work now,” it says, based on a current Tiktok trend.

This is what the snippets sound like
The three songs are titled “Shitdreck”, “Kissen” and “Ich ich ich” – all capitalized in their own spelling. The former features striking guitars, hard drums and shouted passages (comparable to the song “Hass” from 2019). “Kissen” also strikes heavier chords, even if the lyrics are less aggressive. “Ich ich ich” is the most sparsely orchestrated, but is countered by a guitar solo from Mille Petrozza, frontman of the German thrash metal band Kreator. Lyrically, the song brings back memories of “The Most Merciful” (2011).
Alligatoah on new paths
Alligatoah shared all three excerpts in a joint video. This shows him in his moon set, in which he shot all of the promo videos for OFF so far. The musician is staging the new album as a comeback after he withdrew from social media for a few weeks in 2023 and wrote “1989-2023” as life dates on a banner at concerts. In a way, OFF is truly a “rebirth”. What has been heard so far – before the new snippets the single “So raus” was released with Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst as a featured guest – takes a new musical direction. A metal fan in his private life, the rapper has now incorporated his influences into his own songs. Above all, the subgenre of Nu Metal can be heard. Alligatoah also performed at Wacken Open Air in 2022 and will be back in the line-up for 2024.
OFF will be released on March 22nd.
