On their eighth studio album “Zeit”, with which Rammstein is currently touring through Europe, there are a few songs in which worried fans saw hints that the band was about to end. This is how the title track deals with human impermanence. Till Lindemann sings: “After us there will be before, out of youth there will be hardship”. And shortly afterwards in the same song: “We are drifting towards the end / No rest, only striving forward / Infinity beckons on the shore”. And the closing track of the album “Adieu” could also be interpreted as a farewell signal. Now there is the all-clear for Rammstein fans. Guitarist Paul Landers said at a meet and greet in Berlin that the band never considered saying goodbye to music:
“Rammstein never thought about quitting. The songs on the new album are based on experiences and losses that band members have had. It’s not a song that hints at the end of Rammstein. All band members still have a lot of fun with Rammstein.”
Good this way! But a farewell to the band would have been surprising. Here you can see the impressive pictures from the Rammstein show in the Berlin Olympic Stadium.
