Allegations of abuse against Lindemann – is Rammstein breaking now?

From America to Japan – Rammstein are successful everywhere with their martial rock. Hits like “Engel”, “Sonne” or “Deutschland” inspire internationally with German lyrics.

But as successful as they are, the rockers around frontman Till Lindemann are controversial. They are masters of provocation, play with taboo topics such as incest and cannibalism, cause scandals when they flirt with right-wing extremist symbols or use images from the Leni Riefenstahl propaganda film “Olympia” for their music video.

But now it’s not about provocation. It’s about mistreatment, abuse and illegal drugs, allegedly to make young women compliant.

Review. Till Lindemann (vocals), Richard Kruspe (guitar), Paul Landers (guitar), Oliver Riedel (bass), Christian Lorenz (keyboard) and Christoph Schneider (drums) founded the band Rammstein in 1994. With their mix of heavy guitar riffs and techno sounds, they quickly became successful and got a record deal in 1995. Her debut album “Herzeleid” sold more than a million copies.

Rammstein are also popular with their sound in the USA and many other countries. In addition, the pyrotechnic spectacles in their stage shows. The metal band has sold more than 20 million records so far. They play in the biggest stadiums around the world.

Till Lindemann is also successful as a solo artist. In 2015 he released his first album. At concerts, porn clips are shown at the end – showing him as an aggressive leading actor who humiliates women.

According to information from BILD am Sonntag, the excessive nature of their frontman is said to be very controversial among the other band members. They are fathers of a family and are said to feel that Lindemann’s behavior has dragged them into the dirt, according to band confidants.

Again and again there have been hints of discord in recent years. A separation is also said to have been discussed. So far, none of the Rammsteins have personally commented on the allegations or the rumors of separation.

When their last album “Zeit” (2022) was released, there were first indications of a breakup. Is the band finally breaking up after the serious allegations against their frontman? The signs point to a storm!
