Serious allegations against Red Bull team boss Christian Horner: An investigation has been initiated into alleged misconduct towards an employee.
Red Bull is investigating allegations against its Formula 1 team boss Christian Horner. According to a report on the “f1-insider” platform, an employee accused him of serious misconduct towards her.
When contacted by the platform, the company said: “After learning of the recent allegations, the company launched an independent investigation.” The investigation is being carried out by an external specialist lawyer and is “already underway”. It added: “The company takes this matter extremely seriously and the investigation will be completed as soon as possible.” Further comments are “not appropriate” at this time.
Misconduct at the Hahnenkamm Race?
According to “f1-insider” information, rumors about Horner’s misconduct arose during the Hahnenkamm ski race in Kitzbühel. In addition to Christian Horner, other influential Formula 1 personalities were among the guests: McLaren CEO Zak Brown and Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff. What exactly Horner is accused of is currently unclear.
Horner has been team boss since the Red Bull team was founded in 2005. Under his leadership, the German Sebastian Vettel became world champion four times in a row between 2010 and 2023.
