Allbirds finds sales partners for Japan and Australasia

The US footwear and clothing supplier Allbirds Inc. has handed over its sales activities in two additional market regions to local partners.

On Tuesday, the company announced that trading group Goldwin Inc. will take over distribution of Allbirds in Japan starting June 1. The corresponding activities in the Australasia region, which includes Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific islands, will be led by the New Zealand Compendium Group from July 1st. Both companies are already sales partners of numerous international brands in the sporting goods and outdoor sectors in their respective markets.

The measures come as part of Allbirds’ ongoing strategic transformation plan. Among other things, it envisages discontinuing direct sales in selected regions and relying on partner models instead. In Canada and South Korea, the corresponding changes were already made last year.
