All local residents are allowed to return to their homes after a fire at waste processing company Vandewiele in Gistel

The residents can go until this evening with their questions about their return to the site of the Summa company. There are some members of the fire brigade present. A few minor works will be carried out this morning. The last extinguishing works for the main fire are in progress.

The Nieuwpoortse Steenweg was closed again this night. The street will be open again after 12 noon this afternoon. Anyone who has damage to their home can report this to their insurer and to the local district office.
