All Jumping Waregem competitions cancelled

Jumping Waregem vzw, the City of Waregem and Sport Vlaanderen have decided during a joint consultation to cancel all events of Jumping Waregem vzw. The biggest pain point turns out to be the music. According to the guidelines of Sport Vlaanderen, playing electronically amplified music is not allowed. Jumping Waregem vzw may only organize events if they strictly comply with these rules, otherwise they risk a fine of 50,000 euros per violation. That is why Sport Vlaanderen has decided to cancel the events.

The Blue Room as an alternative

This Sunday’s dressage competition has already been moved to De Blauwe Zaal. An alternative location is still being sought for the four remaining jumping competitions.
