Robert Gesink is in his sixteenth (!) season with Jumbo-Visma and the forerunners of the team. But even for the 36-year-old veteran, his team has grown into one of the best teams in the world, perhaps the best cycling team on the globe. “Even when I’m on my bike in Canada, I meet people in Jumbo-Visma cycling clothing. I’ve never experienced that before,” says Gesink. ,,That people outside the Netherlands are literally fans of the team. We are an attractive team and we show it. We have grown a lot in that regard. This has accelerated with the success in the Tour. And we haven’t seen the end yet.”
