Alkmaarder Stijn Spierings enters the Champions League with the French Lens

RC Lens is the new club of Stijn Spierings. For a long time it looked like the Alkmaar midfielder would continue his career in the Netherlands. Spierings was in the interest of the entire traditional top three, but he therefore opts for a longer stay in France.

With Toulouse FC, Stijn Spierings did an excellent job in Ligue 1 last season. At the beginning of May, the southern French club won the national cup. And Spierings informed NH Sport shortly after the cup win that he was open to a Dutch top club. “I prefer abroad, but I am also open to the top three in the Netherlands.” PSV seemed to be on a collision course for a long time, but today it appears that the former youth player of the Alkmaar Kolping Boys has moved to the north of France.
