Alibaba subsidiary Lazada plans to enter Europe

Alibaba subsidiary Lazada wants to venture into Europe, reports Bloomberg. Concrete plans have not yet been announced by James Dong, the CEO of the Lazada Group.

“Europe is a large market and for many of our European brands, Alibaba Group is their largest trading partner in China due to their sales in China and other markets", Dong told Bloomberg. “We go where the brands want us to go."

Lazada is an e-commerce platform that sells women’s, men’s and children’s fashion. Electrical appliances, home furnishings, cosmetics, kitchen utensils, and items for motorcycling and driving are also sold.
