Ali Sami Yen, the founder of Galatasaray, commemorated on the 71st anniversary of his death



Ali Sami Yen, the founder of Galatasaray Club, was commemorated at his grave on the 71st anniversary of his death. Dursun Özbek, president of the yellow-red club, Aykutalp Derkan, chairman of the council, and members of the board of directors attended the commemoration ceremony at Feriköy Cemetery.


Making a short speech at the ceremony, President Özbek said, “It is the 71st death anniversary of Ali Sami Yen, the founder of our club. We gathered here to commemorate him. We sent our prayers to him. May he rest in peace. He left us a great legacy.” used the phrases.


The commemoration ceremony ended with prayers read at the grave of Ali Sami Yen.


Dursun Özbek and his entourage also visited the tomb of Süleyman Seba, the legendary president of Beşiktaş Club, located in the same cemetery.
