Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the International Ski Federation (FIS) banned Russian and Belarusian athletes from competing in March.

Now a cross country skier Alexander Bolshunov coach Yuri Borodavkon thinks that Norwegian skiers will also be denied access to international competitions.

– They talk without understanding anything. They do not know the history of Russia or the cause of the conflict. But they clearly repeat what Western propaganda conveys.

Russia is not talking about a war of aggression against Ukraine, but a “special operation”.

Norwegians in Libya

Borodavko highlights Norway’s involvement in the 2011 bombing of Libya.

– Norwegians blame Russia for all the sins, but do they know that their plane bombed defenseless Libya by dropping more than 500 bombs? Maybe they should also exclude themselves from international competitions and impose the same sanctions retroactively?

In Libya, a civil war broke out in February 2011 in which the rebels fought for the country’s leader Muammar Gaddafia against.

The Norwegian Air Force was part of an alliance formed in Libya by the military forces of various countries.

Norwegian fighters had no restrictions on their operations, unlike Swedish fighters, which only controlled airspace in Libya.

Supporters and crows

Borodavko says that there are also surprises among their supporters.

– I do not want to name those who support us, because there is no reason to reveal them. But there are even Norwegians who have written, if not directly supporting, then asking and discussing.

– But then there are those who say the same thing. Disturbing like crows and drawing their own conclusions, Borodavko continues.
