Alec Segaert second at BC time trial in Herzele

After three kilometres, things are already going wrong for the defending champion. The rain has made the course in Herzele very slippery, Evenepoel ends up in the canal, and can make a cross over the title. In the meantime, Alec Segaert is doing well, the vice world champion with the promises only has to acknowledge his superior in Wout Van Aert. Silver in his very first national championship, as a 20-year-old you can only be satisfied with that.
