Segaert made it after 200 kilometers between Aat and Lessen. He stayed just ahead of the sprinting peloton, after breaking away together with the German Henri Uhlig with two kilometers to go. The Czech Pavel Bittner (Team dsm-firmenich PostNL) came second. Jenthe Biermans (Arkéa – B&B Hotels) completed the podium. Segaert succeeds Australian Sam Welsford on the honors list. Last year, Segaert already impressed with a second place at the Belgian Championship among the pros. Now he opens his account at the highest level.
