Criminal charges against actor Alec Baldwin, 65, have been dropped. The criminal charges will be related in October 2021 Rust– to the accident that happened on the set of the movie.
Baldwin was charged with the involuntary manslaughter of photographer Halyna Hutchins, 45. The fatal accident occurred when Baldwin fired a prop gun at the cameraman, unaware that the gun contained a real bullet.
Baldwin has pleaded not guilty to the charges filed by the Santa Fe District Attorney from the start.
The New York Post writesthat Baldwin’s attorneys Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro state in their press release to the newspaper that they are satisfied with the decision.
– We encourage a proper investigation into the facts and circumstances of this tragic accident, the release says.
Director Joel Souza was also injured during the shooting of the film.
Filming of the film continues this week after a year and a half break.
