Alec Baldwin’s armorer allegedly withheld evidence

Did she want to cover her tracks?

When Hollywood star Alec Baldwin (65) shot camerawoman Halyna Hutchins († 42) with a prop gun on the set of the western film “Rust” in October 2021, SHE was responsible for security: armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed (25). While the charges against Baldwin have since been dropped, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed remains under investigation.

The 25-year-old was only accused of drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana on the film set in mid-June. Gutierrez-Reed is said to have been “probably hung over” while she was handling guns on set.

Now there are new serious allegations: the public prosecutor’s office accuses Hannah Gutierrez-Reed of having embezzled evidence. This is reported by the US site “Entertainment Tonight”.

DAS accuses the prosecutor Hannah Gutierrez-Reed

The specific allegation: On October 21, 2021, a few hours after the death drama occurred on the film set, the armorer is said to have handed a bag of cocaine to an unnamed witness. Gutierrez-Reed had previously been questioned by the police.

The investigators see the transfer of evidence as confirmation of the allegation that the 25-year-old wanted to avoid prosecution in this way. It is believed Gutierrez-Reed was doing this to prevent police from obtaining evidence that could link them to Halyna Hutchins’ death.

Jason Bowles, the defendants’ lawyer, is critical of the new allegations. He finds it questionable how, 20 months after the accident, a “secret witness” was suddenly found who was incriminating his client so heavily.

Bowles said in a statement: “All of this comes with no actual confirmation or evidence? And the prosecutor doesn’t intend to identify the person?”

Like so much else in this case, the new allegations would have no meaning in his eyes.

Gutierrez-Reed maintains her innocence to this day.
