Alderman from Sint-Joost uses expense allowance to buy suspenders, lace stockings and cigarettes Brussels

LOOK. This is Dorah Ilunga, alderman from Sint-Joost-ten-Noode

Municipal councilor Pauline Warnotte (Ecolo) investigated the expenditure made by Dorah Ilunga (ex-PS) since 2019 – the year of her re-election as alderman for Employment, Social Affairs (OCH) and International Relations – and is denouncing the case.

Some of the receipts from the alderman for Employment, Social Affairs (OCH) and International Relations consulted by the newspaper indeed raise questions. In particular, the purchase of suspenders, lace stockings, packs of cigarettes, pajamas, as well as countless tickets from fast food restaurants, are very remarkable.

Even more striking: since 2019, Ilunga has received no fewer than four iPhones. She doesn’t see any problem herself. According to the aldermen, all these expenses have been checked and validated by the aldermen.
