Alderman Bert Schelfhout from Deerlijk is candidate president Open VLD

Bert Schelfhout is 39 years old and was previously youth chairman of the liberals. He wants to thoroughly renew the party. The elections will take place during a member conference at the end of this month.

Schelfhout is the third candidate for chairman of Open VLD, next to Vincent Stuer and current interim chairman Tom Ongena.
