This week it’s all about the new records from Beach House, Metronomy and Pauls Jets.
Four monthly published “chapter“, each with four to five tracks, together result in the double LP ONCE TWICE MELODY, the eighth, but for the first time completely self-produced album by Beach Housewhich are undoubtedly among the best living bands in the world.
Metronomy’s music has always had something to do with nostalgia, with a longing for times and places that perhaps never existed. Also on their new record SMALL WORLD the British band takes us to a theme park of millennial nostalgia with their electro-pop.
Although Pauls Jets have been the hope of German-speaking indie pop since 2018, they have mostly been overshadowed by other Viennese bands. Now, with the third album, that should be over. The new record JAZZFEST brings together lo-fi, impro-jazz, post-punk, hits and Britpop.
