TO Christmas Alberto Angela he left his mark on Rai1 keeping glued to the TV as well 4 million Italians (and making a share of nearly 23 percent) with Tonight in… Naples, a night trip to the unexplored and best known places of the Neapolitan city.
Angela he has accustomed us to his exploits, to his cultured and passionate narration that, during the various editions of Ulysses – the pleasure of discovery or other “special” programs on the beauties of our country, was awarded winning.
From this evening (again on Rai1 at 21.25) it’s up to the fourth edition of Wonders, the peninsula of treasures, a four-part program that takes us into the history of Italy between works, natural and artistic beauties.
The first episode of Wonders: Ischia and Procida
The new edition of Wonders starts from the island of Procida, Italian capital of culture 2022, among the colorful houses of Marina Corricella. Maria Grazia Cucinotta he will remember how in one of those houses he shot the last scenes of The postman by Massimo Troisi.
Then it’s up to Ischia, with its charming Aragonese castle. The castle was the home of the Renaissance poet Vittoria Colonna, who will live again among its ruins with the face of Giusy Buscemi, while Stefano Bollani will tell about his connection with the island.
Alberto Angela in Lucca and in the Aosta Valley
From the Neapolitan theses we move on to Lucca where Angela will meet the designer Milo Manara, while the actor Flavio Parenti and the soprano Maria Sardaryan they will revive the most illustrious citizen of Lucca: Giacomo Puccini.
The journey continues in Valle d’Aosta among the castles of the family Challant and the hill of Nivolet, where the blue sprinter Fausto Desalu, gold medal a Tokyo, will tell about the long walks he used to take right there.
Previews of the second and third episode of Wonders
There second episode (in inda on 4 January on Rai1) will feature other wonders of our country: from Borromean islands on Lake Maggiore, to the cathedral of Orvieto, in Ortigia, in the province of Syracuse, where Angela will meet two special guests: Ficarra and Picone.
Also in the third episode (January 11) we will cross the peninsula: from Royal Villa of Monza, to Villa Adriana and Villa d’Este in Tivoli, in Palermo. Among the guests Maria Falcone who will evoke his most intense memories lived in the Sicilian city with his brother John.
