Albert Verlinde thinks Eva Jinek is a bit cowardly: ‘Don’t say that afterwards!’

Albert Verlinde thinks it is a bit cowardly and easy that Eva Jinek suddenly says after a year that she found her interview with Nick & Simon a bit ‘tiring’. “You don’t say that afterwards.”

Eva Jinek had a huge stunt in store for the viewer last year after her summer break. The presenter had the most talked about celebrities in the country in her season opener: Nick & Simon. Now, a year later, she admits that she thought it was a boring interview: “He kept insisting for 32 minutes that everything was fine. I think I found that tiring.”

Not chic

Not chic, says Albert Verlinde. He thinks that Eva can take an example from Dyantha Brooks, who recently put the arrogant celebrity Douwe Bob in his place live on television. “She’s right,” Albert says resolutely in the weekly Weekend.

He continues: “Eva Jinek who only now admits that she found it ‘tiring’ that Nick and Simon did not want to admit to having an argument with each other at her table. Say that to them, not afterwards. I think it’s cool that Dyantha dared to make that decision right in Douwe’s face.”

Very carefully

It is whispered that Eva will be succeeded by Matthijs van Nieuwkerk on the late evening of RTL 4, but according to Johan Derksen he is moving to SBS 6. “I don’t think it will happen,” says Albert. “Matthijs is very careful, he seeks out as little risk as possible, I am convinced of that.”

According to him, Matthijs has nowhere to go. “He is so the pope of the canal belt and people will think: what is that man going to do now? Between Gillis and Urk! present in a program?”

Sneer

Finally, Albert delivers a spicy sneer to Eva; he indirectly says that her talk show no longer matters. “If you are very honest, the only talk show that matters is on SBS 6. I think that SBS is currently the channel where the most happens: VI is opinion-oriented, Shownieuws is all about talking.”

Matthijs could make it even more controversial, but according to Albert he does not fit among those titles. “I think the canal belt thinks: no, that’s not okay.”
