Albert Verlinde finds Jada Borsato clumsy: ‘How difficult is it?!’

Albert Verlinde thinks that Marco Borsato’s children behave very clumsily in the media, especially that chick who was briefly in GTST: Jada Borsato. “How hard is it?!”

Marco Borsato’s children mainly think about their father’s interests and not those of the victim. That is understandable according to some people, but their PR behavior is extremely clumsy. At one point we heard Jada Borsato say in front of the Shownieuws camera that their family is going to ‘rock’ the abuse case.

‘Think for a moment’

Jada’s statements have gone down the wrong way with many people. Understandable, says Albert Verlinde in the latest Weekend. “I think they can respond, but they have to think carefully about how they respond. If you know that you can expect such a question on the red carpet, you have to think of a good answer in advance.”

Albert is talking specifically about Jada, he says. “Yes. How difficult can it be to prepare that at home? When you see how Noa Vahle reacts to her mother’s things, I think: boys, do that too. Noa is doing well. You know these kinds of questions can come about your father, what are you going to say? Prepare it.”

‘Well, don’t do it’

Well, whether Noa is the best example… She complains in her mother’s magazine that her mother has been ‘destroyed’ so terribly. That is such a PR failure that even her mentor Hélène Hendriks has criticized it. Not to mention Johan Derksen’s harsh words… Will Hélène ask Noa about it tonight?

Back to the Borsatotjes: what does Albert think of that interview that Luca Borsato gave to Ruud de Wild? In it, Luca complained that people in Albert Heijn look at Dad with disdain. “Well, I would never look it up myself,” says Albert.

Alone on the world

What could Luca have done better? “If you were to sit down, I would have said: ‘I would like to say one or two things about it, but this concerns so many people, let’s talk about other things.’ I recently heard Sanne Wevers on the radio. She has also experienced a lot in the gymnastics world and she gave very good answers.”

Her father, national coach Vincent Wevers, has been accused of misconduct. “But she thought about him, about the victims, and about her colleagues. Marco’s children should do that too, they are not alone in the world. It’s not just about the Borsato family. It concerns a lot of other people around it, so you have to think carefully about what you say.”
