Alba Berlin is ready for the first season in the women’s basketball Bundesliga. As the last new signing, the newly promoted American Laina Snyder signed for the season beginning in October, as the club announced on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old, 6’1″ college grad is the fifth recent signing.
Snyder is currently playing for the championship in New Zealand with her current club Southern Hoiho. Earlier this year she had already won the title in Luxembourg with T71 Dudelange. Snyder, who was intended for the big positions, was also under contract in Australia, Greece, her homeland and with the second division club Eintracht Braunschweig.
Before Snyder, Nina Rosemeyer, Deeshyra Thomas, Tessa Stammberger and Maggie Mulligan had joined Alba. On the other hand, Valeria Aleksiewa, Hannah Brown, Luciana Chagas, Lilly Driesener and Magdalena Winter left the club after promotion.
