German champions Alba Berlin have signed 20-year-old Italian Gabriele Procida. The Bundesliga club announced on Friday that the shooting guard had signed a three-year contract.

“Gabriele is ready to perform at the highest level and we want to help him take his game to the next level,” said Alba’s sporting director Himar Ojeda according to the notification.

Gabrielle Procida was selected 36th in the NBA draft two weeks ago. His rights for the North American professional league are with the Detroit Pistons.

According to the club, if the Pistons want to bring Procida into the NBA, they will have to enter into negotiations with Alba.

The 1.98 meter tall Procida made his debut in the Italian Serie A in 2019. Most recently he played there for Fortitudo Bologna.
