Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad team parted ways with its coach Nuno Espirito Santo.
In the statement made by the club, it was stated that the termination of the contract with the Portuguese coach until 2024 was taken after a comprehensive evaluation of the recent bad results.
Nuno Espirito Santo, who started his career at Rio Ave, later coached Valencia, Porto, Wolverhampton and Tottenham.
The team’s assistant coach, Hassan Khalifa, will be the head of the team until the new coach is appointed.
Al-Ittihad is in the 6th place in the Saudi Arabian 1st Football League after the 12th week, 11 points behind the leader Al-Hilal with 32 points.
