Asian representative Al-Hilal surprisingly reached the final of the FIFA Club World Cup in Morocco.
The team from Saudi Arabia defeated the Brazilian club Flamengo from Rio de Janeiro 3: 2 (2: 1) in Tangier and is in the final for the first time. There it is on Saturday against record winners Real Madrid or Al Ahly from Egypt.
Salem Al-Dawsari scored from the penalty spot (4’/45’+9′) and Luciano Vietto (70′) for Al-Hilal, who had previously knocked out African Champions League winner Wydad Casablanca (Morocco). Flamengo equalized temporarily through Pedro (20′), but had to complete the second half with a man down after Gerson (45′ + 8′) was sent off. Pedro’s connection (90+1) came too late.
