Aku Sipola says that he is critical of his own work.
On Friday, September 29, the fictional film about Pertti “Spede” Pasase will premiere in cinemas Spede-movie. Aleksi Delikouras Aku Sipola, who will be seen, also plays a significant role in the film directed by Vesa-Matti Loirin in boots.
For Sipola, the release of the film has been exciting, and he sat down in the cinema to watch the finished film only during the premiere week.
– I have avoided watching this film because it was exciting. But it looked good, Sipola describes his thoughts directly after the film.
He says that the tension was mainly focused on his own performance. He says that he is quite critical and observes his own role performance, so it was challenging to watch the film from an objective point of view.
– Criticality is a trait and quality in me that sometimes takes me forward, but in such roles it can be that I beat myself up too much.
In the end, the viewing experience turned out to be better for Sipola than he could have expected.
– I said when I went to the theater that if it was a school grade of 7+ I would be satisfied, but they say it was maybe an 8-.

Uuno Turhapuro
In the film, Sipola looks and sounds like Loir, especially in the role of Uuno Turhapuro. Adopting a recognizable voice took time, and the summer before filming was spent in many ways getting to know the world of cinema.
– However, I’m in such a lucky position that practicing such things doesn’t really feel like work. I’m really grateful that I get to act as my profession.
In the film, Loir’s character is young and just rising to fame. However, decisions were made with the character that would make Loir feel more familiar to the viewer.
– During the time in which the film takes place, Loiri spoke in a very clear voice and it only got lower later. However, the decision was consciously made to lower the sound so that it would be more recognizable to the viewers.
In the film, all Loiri imitations are from Sipola’s mouth and she even sings in the film.
– As a viewer, I was impressed by that singing scene, it was really nicely done. Also a kind of turning point in the whole story.
