In Russia, it is necessary to get rid of “foreign meanings”, including cleaning the Russian language and the educational process from anglicisms, urged the head of the Crimea Sergey Aksyonov in the Telegram channel.

“Inside the country, we need a complete cleansing of other people’s meanings. We should start with cleansing our language, speech and educational process from anglicisms, which are often used completely unjustifiably, up to a ban on using English words in the names of domestic enterprises, ”he said.

According to Aksyonov, there is now an unprecedented Russophobia in the West, which is expressed in an “attack on everything connected with Russia”, its language, spirituality and culture. The head of Crimea proposed to respond to this with the unity of all Russians throughout the world and “collective defense in the public mind.”

Putin compared the “cancellation” of Russian culture in the West with the actions of the Nazis

At the end of March, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that discrimination against everything connected with Russia is progressing in Western countries. “The proverbial cancel culture has become a cancel culture. Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, Rachmaninoff are excluded from concert posters. Russian writers and their books are banned,” the head of state says.
