Aki Manninen has had enough of participating in reality TV shows.
Well-being coach known from numerous reality TV shows Aki Manninen participates in the Ääriminen matka program starting at the end of October. During that time, Manninen will run 200 kilometers with other competitors in Iceland’s ruggedly beautiful nature.
This reality TV appearance is historic, as it will be Manninen’s last.
– I decided that this will be the last 200 kilometers that I do in reality anymore, he tells Iltalehte.
Manninen continues by saying that the television appearances don’t end there, however. In the future, we plan to focus on building and producing our own program.
– Anyway, I’m turning 47 this year, I’m not a little boy anymore. I don’t want to sell my eggs to those reality TV shows anymore when I have my own eggs.
He can’t reveal details about his own program yet, but it will be implemented together with his wife Rita Niemi-Mannisen with.

Fatherhood softens
Mannen’s last reality TV performance was a physical ordeal that also made me think about a lot of things inside my head. On the way, he only had to compete against himself.

Although Manninen processed a lot of philosophical thoughts in his head during the trip, he nevertheless admits that the biggest softening in his character came with the birth of his own child.

Daughter Donna is now three years old and has taught her parents a lot about life. Manninen has talked a lot with his spouse about what kind of childhood they want to offer their daughter.
– Wants to break the traumas of the past for this child. I want to create a clean, healthy and good childhood for him.
The most important thing for Manninen is that Donna does not have to bear the sorrows of adults too early in her life. The pitfalls of adult life are not for a small mind to contemplate.
– I’m not saying that Donna will be spared without dents in life, but if that road can be smoothed a little, I will gladly do it.
The apple of the couple’s eye spends a versatile everyday life with their parents. In the summer of 2022, the family got their own island, where they spend a lot of time. Donna is also enthusiastic about fishing on the cottage island.
– Nowadays, Donna wants cold-smoked salmon and island bread for breakfast, because it’s a sailor’s food. After all, he is a sailor’s child, Manninen, who actively fishes, laughs.
