Korona made losses

TPS published the financial figures for the previous period. The company’s loss for the financial year was EUR 1.1 million, although the team’s spring progressed until the final of the Finnish Championship.

Compared to the previous financial year 2020–2021, the financial result improved by approximately EUR 1.5 million.

The loss result was particularly affected by the corona pandemic, which resulted in lower-than-normal viewership. Several events also had to be postponed due to the coronavirus.

On the athletic side, TPS managed four NHL contracts at the same time, easing the club’s loss figures.

They received an NHL contract from Turku Juuso Pärssinen, Markus Nurmi, Eemil Viro and Samuel Knazko.
