So the start of Ajax was still disastrous in Heerenveen. Janneke Ennema and Jet van Beijeren seemed to have the Frisians on roses: 2-0. A quick red card from Merel Bormans helped the team from Amsterdam back in the saddle. Ashleigh Weerden made the connection goal before the break: 2-1.
Ajax then thundered over Heerenveen in the second half. Lisa Doorn, Sherida Spitse, Eshly Bakker and Elisha Kruize scored the Amsterdam goals. The lead is now in the hands of Ajax, but FC Twente will play against ADO Den Haag on Sunday.
